‘Sombras’

As part of a generation that has an incredibly fervent desire to embrace introspection, breaking generational curses, and overall healing, I often pine over these themes in my personal life and how they affect my intimate relationships. The third part of this three-part visual story explores the tango of shadow work and self-discovery throughout relationships. On the inevitable rollercoaster of light and shadow, each partner represents the ego meeting the soul as the unified ‘self’ embraces clarity and self-actualization. A once misguided journey becomes a necessary one, full of purpose and gratitude. I intend to visually elucidate the complex progression from individuality to collaboration and the ego begins to die.
